The Cleveland Browns got some good and bad news on the injury front as preparations for Week 7 at the Tennessee Titans continue.

Only four players missed Tuesday’s session, but one of them was an unwanted surprise. Linebacker Quincy Williams, who’s played all but 18 defensive snaps for the Browns as an off-the-ball linebacker next to Carson Schwesinger, popped up on the injury report as a nonparticipant with a neck injury.

Williams wasn’t listed on Wednesday’s report, which indicates that his neck got sore between practices. Midweek injuries like this are never a good sign for a player’s availability. Defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg declined to comment on Williams’ situation or chances of suiting up during his media availability on Thursday.

Mike Hall Jr., Teven Jenkins, and Kalia Davis all missed practice. That trio hasn’t participated in weeks.

The Cleveland Browns' Week 7 injury outlook is improving despite one unexpected setback

Grant Delpit appears to be trending positively after suffering a concussion in Week 6

The Browns did get Delpit, who left early during last week’s win over the Ravens with a head injury, back at practice as a limited participant on Thursday, which means he’s at least in Phase 4 of the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol. Another practice on Friday would give the Browns’ starting safety a good chance to play against the Titans.

Delpit is also managing a shoulder injury, though, so Friday could be a big day for him.

Carson Schwesinger on pace to play through his sprained ankle

Schwesinger was also limited Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday. To the surprise of no one, he’s on track to play through his sprained ankle against Tennessee.

The only real concern with Schwesinger was his ankle not responding well to him playing 57 snaps against Baltimore. He told reporters Thursday that the ankle feels better this week than it did ahead of Week 6. He should continue to play every defensive snap for the Browns this week in Nashville.

Elgton Jenkins returns after resting his injured knee

The Browns have been managing Jenkins’ practice reps. He missed Wednesday with a knee issue after playing 63 offensive snaps against the Ravens last week.

Jenkins sat out Cleveland’s Week 4 win over the Steelers with a concussion. He’s been a stabilizing force for a Browns offensive line that starts two rookies in Spencer Fano and Austin Barber, and the veteran center should be back at his post for the Titans game.

KC Concepcion, Mason Graham managing multiple injuries but on track to play

Graham, who has missed Cleveland’s last two games with a sprained MCL, logged a limited practice for the second straight day and remains on track to return at Tennessee. Graham was pushing to play against Baltimore last week, head coach Todd Monken said, so the added week of rest should do him some good. He’s listed on the injury report with knee and ankle injuries.

Concepcion returned from a concussion in Week 6 but appears to be banged up. He’s been a limited participant to start the week due to calf and quad issues, so that’s a situation to monitor. Fellow rookie wideout Denzel Boston has also been limited due to a foot issue.

Running back Quinshon Judkins appears to be trending toward a return as he was able to practice for the second straight day. His ankle injury caused him to miss the Ravens game. Fellow running back Dylan Sampson, who’s been on injured reserve since Week 2, remains limited with a knee injury but could be activated to play prior to Sunday’s game.
