Harold Fannin Jr. could use another monster game vs. Titans to get Browns going

Cleveland Browns tight end Harold Fannin Jr. had the best game of his career against the Tennessee Titans, and it’d be great if he repeated that against them.

The Cleveland Browns are surprisingly 4-2 to start the season, and the bittersweet thing about that is the offense hasn’t been very consistent. That’s bad, obviously, because the offense isn’t good right now.

It’s also good, because it shows how high Cleveland’s ceiling could be if the offense figures things out.

Fortunately, the Browns have talented players on offense. The team just needs to do a better job of getting them involved.

That’s especially the case for second-year tight end Harold Fannin Jr. After establishing himself as Cleveland’s top pass catcher last season as a rookie, Fannin hasn’t really been able to get rolling in Year 2 like people hoped he would.

Maybe a familiar opponent could help change that. The Browns will play the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, and that’s who Fannin had the best game of his career against thus far.

It’d be great for Cleveland to see another virtuoso performance against Tennessee from its young tight end.

Harold Fannin Jr. could restore confidence in Browns offense by dominating Titans again

In Week 14 of the 2025 season, Tennessee and Cleveland faced off in a game that was much more captivating than people thought teams with a combined four wins would be. The Titans ultimately won the game, 31-29, but the rookie duo of Fannin and Shedeur Sanders kept the team in the game.

Sanders threw for 364 yards and three touchdowns, and Fannin was his favorite target. The tight end caught 8 of 11 targets for 114 yards and a huge touchdown late that gave Cleveland a chance to tie things up. It was the best game, by far, of Fannin’s rookie season, which saw him lead the Browns in receiving with 72 receptions, 731 yards, and six touchdowns.

Now a year later, with everyone expecting a big second-year leap, Fannin has just 19 receptions for 166 yards and three touchdowns through six games. In Cleveland’s last two games, the tight end had just one catch for nine yards in Week 6 and one catch for four yards in Week 5. Fannin didn’t have a single game with less than two catches during his rookie season.

To be clear — this isn’t exclusively a Fannin problem; the entire offense has been pretty lackluster aside from a few exciting quarters.

It would be great if that could change on Sunday against the Titans, who are a one-win team just like they were last season.
