Free Agent No. 2 – Javon Hargrave, DT

I originally had Fletcher Cox on the list as the No. 2 target for the Cleveland Browns, but I think the Eagles will do everything and anything to keep him.  With that being said, I think it also makes Javon Hargrave (who also plays for the Eagles) a better target.

Berry alluded that he believes Jim Schwartz's scheme will fix the interior defensive line issues, but I think that is some postering for him to finally make a move. While there are very few pass rushers available, there are six or seven good defensive tackles set to hit free agency. Supply and demand could be Berry’s best friend.

Hargrave is that massive body the Browns have been lacking for years. Not only is he a good athlete, but he also has strong discipline and tremendous strength which helps him clog up multiple gaps at a time. It’s also worth noting that Hargrave has 18.5 sacks in the last two years, but he was a part of one of the most loaded lines in the NFL.

Hargrave will be expensive but considering what he will do for this run defense and drawing some attention off Garrett, this would instantly change the identity of the Browns defense. And while they’ll still need to add a defensive end, an addition like this allows them to get a cheaper player.
