3 Ohio prospects the Cleveland Browns are looking at
No 1: Ivan Pace Jr, Linebacker, University of Cincinnati
We go back down 71 to Cincinnati for our last Ohio native who could be a Cleveland Brown. Cincinnati's own Ivan Pace Jr. is a very intriguing linebacker prospect. Pace, who played at Colerain High School, has an interesting college career.
Pace played for the Miami University Redhawks before joing the Cincinnati Bearcats his senior year. There he really was able to show the world what he could do as he registered 137 total tackles and 10 sacks. He was a one-man wrecking crew for Luke Fickell in 2022.
The knock on Pace is his size. He only stands at 5'10" and that would make him the shortest linebacker coming out of this year's draft class. But his playmaking abilities cannot be argued. The man knows how to rush the passer. But will it translate to the NFL?
If it wasn't for the height, Pace believes he'd be a top prospect. This from cleveland.com:
"I really feel like I do separate myself. If I had the height, I feel like I could be a top-five pick. But they don’t find the height a failure. So, I’ll be up there one day."
- Ivan Pace Jr.
Pace should be seen as a mid-round pick as the Cleveland Browns could take a flyer on this under-sized, ultra-talented player to pair with Myles Garrett.
