3 Reasons Cleveland Browns should be optimistic of Super Bowl chances in 2023

Reason No. 2: Head Coach Kevin Stefanski and his staff
Some of you may not agree with this No. 2 reason, but Browns coach Kevin Stefanski and his new and improved coaching staff have a lot of experience combined and have built a steady competitor over the past three seasons and that can't be said of many previous Browns coaching staffs.
Some anti-Stefanski fans criticize the play calling and don't think he has the ability to take this team to the promised land. However, that take is mostly due to not really looking at all the data that would suggest otherwise. Stefanski has had a very successful career. Wherever he's gone, his teams have succeeded. He was on the Minnesota Vikings staff as an assistant in many different roles for 14 seasons. Now, he's been in Cleveland for three seasons.
In his first year in Cleveland, he led them to an 11-5 record, a playoff berth, and a win. Since then, his teams have struggled at times, yet they have usually been very competitive and right there to get the win. He has some excellent offensive coaches in Alex Van Pelt and Bill Callahan already and they will help this team continue to get better.
Stefanski now has made some changes to the staff, including hiring a new defensive coordinator in Jim Schwartz and a new special teams coach in Bubba Ventrone. Both coaches have been part of Super Bowl teams in the past and that experience will only help Stefanski build an even stronger team.
Despite some tough moments over the past two seasons, Stefanski has maintained consistency in a variety of ways including his positive demeanor and always looking to improve his team. He's made some big changes already with the coaching changes and now he can begin to work on his team. Cleveland is much closer to reaching the Super Bowl because of Stefanski then they are without him.
