4 moves that didn't work for the Cleveland Browns in 2022

Move No. 2 – Not Trading Kareem Hunt
For the last four seasons, the Cleveland Browns have had the extreme luxury of having Kareem Hunt on the roster in a backup role. After off-field issues landed him without a job, the former Rookie of the Year played Robin to Nick Chubb (Batman) and was an important part of this roster.
No matter how good he is, everyone knew that Hunt would be moving on after the 2022 season. With large contracts going to other positions, Berry wasn’t going to be able to pay two running backs in a league where the position isn’t overly important anymore.
So, if we knew he wasn’t going to be here in 2023, and we knew the playoffs were an extremely long shot early in the season, why didn’t Berry look to trade him? In a season where a ton of running backs got hurt and Christian McCaffrey was traded, I find it hard to believe the market wasn’t at least warm for Hunt.
Between Berry being a little too positive that the Browns weren’t out of it and thinking his value was too high, the Browns missed out on a great opportunity. Berry likely could have scored a talented young wide receiver or a middle-round pick that would have been valuable with all the assets given up acquiring Watson.
Once Hunt is officially gone, this one will hurt even more.
