David Njoku made one of the best touchdown receptions of the season, which led to the Cleveland Browns win over Tampa Bay, but he was snubbed when the NFL tweeted out the top-10 catches of the year

In Week 12, the Cleveland Browns hosted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in what proved to be an exciting contest. Tampa had a 17-10 lead late in the fourth quarter but the Browns came back and tied it up — but not without some drama.

A six-play, 46-yard drive came down to a fourth-and-10 from the 12-yard line. On that play, Jacoby Brissett targeted tight end David Njoku and the pass was a little high. That didn't matter for Njoku, who made a leaping one-handed reception to tie the game up. Cleveland then won in overtime when Nick Chubb ran in a touchdown from three yards out.

Now, the league is looking back at all the huge plays from the 2022 season and shared a video of the top 10 catches of the year. Njoku's catch was absent from the countdown, and he took to Twitter to point this out.

A former first-round pick in 2017, Njoku landed a massive four-year, $56.75 million extension this past season with the Browns and this touchdown reception showed why they were willing to back up the Brinks Truck.

Njoku is an athletic freak who can be a nightmare for defenders to deal with. At 6-foot-4 and 246 pounds, he's too big for defensive backs to handle. He also ran a 4.64 in the 40-yard dash during the Scouting Combine, making him too fast for most linebacker to run with.

After Cleveland released Austin Hooper, and re-signed Njoku, he was able to put together the best season of his career. Njoku finished with 58 receptions for 628 yards and four touchdowns. With Deshaun Watson now active for the entire season, the expectation is that he will only grow from this — and should have plenty more opportunites to land in the top 10 reception list.
