Jets Take A Page From Browns and is There More to the McCreight Firing?

facebooktwitterreddit

Former Browns RB coach, Anthony Lynn, was just named the new RB coach of the New York Jets.  This is coming just days after a slew of former Jets coaches headed west for Cleveland.

Lynn had been pursued by a number of teams in recent weeks as well.

As we told you a few days ago the Browns and personnel director T.J. McCreight have parted ways.  Well, it seems that there may be an underlying story to these recent developments as well.  It seems as though that while McCreight was in charge, granted it was all of a week or two, an official tried to contact him and ask him a few questions.  However he never spoke with McCreight, but instead was talking with a reporter.  The official was trying to contact McCreight to see if he was potentially leaking information about the team to reporters.  Turns out, the organization has a “Brownsgate” on its hands.

This is not how a PRO football team should be ran; hopefully this is a wake up call and the team and front office get their acts together.
