Browns.  According to the report, someone had access to his daughter’s tweets, and that is where the information came from.

Also, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Browns will interview current Dallas Cowboys special teams coach, Rich Bisaccia.  Bisaccia, would be the oldest candidate interviewed to date at 53 years old.

Not to sound funny, but it seems like at this point the Browns are putting coaches names in a hat, drawing one, and interviewing whoever is picked.  Maybe tomorrow there will be a report the Browns will be seeking to interview the quality control coach of the Oakland Raiders.

Never a dull moment in Berea, that’s for sure….

>To go along with the theme of today’s BWB, this might be the funniest tweet of the day.  The new scoreboard guy would have to wait in line behind the Raiders quality control coach!! lol

I’m really disappointed in the sarcasm, ridicule, and downright hammering the Browns are receiving in the media for their coaching search. The Browns are by far in the best position of any team to hire a coach. For once, they’re seeing this thing through. There are absolutely no negative drawbacks from taking this approach. They now have the upper hand. Are they at a disadvantage for scouting because they’re missing the event in Mobile? No! They have a scouting department and their are 4 other teams missing out on it, I don’t hear any complaints about that. Are the prospective coordinators going to be harder to hire? No! Whomever is the next head coach will get the coordinators he wants anyway. Did they miss out on coaches that have already been hired? Really? Lovie Smith wasn’t coming to Cleveland, Bill O’Brien was already off the board, we’ve had 3 chances to hire Whisenhunt in the last 12 months, and the rest of the hires really aren’t that attractive. We now have our pick of the cream of the crop of assistants and coordinators from the absolute best 4 teams in the league, not bad huh? Let’s all take a deep breath, relax, and let these guys figure it out…What’s the worst thing that could happen? Banner and Lombardi did their own grave and hang themselves and we get a new FO! It ain’t all bad.

There is one thing you are not taking into consideration, that is a lot of coaches and coordinators who don’t want to come here!! It may be them or their agents, but the stability factor here is very, VERY low right now, even with the newer front office !! The only decent QB coach Chudzinski had to work with went down early and to the IR !! The front office gave him no help to speak of. The FO was correct in saying they made no progress in the last half, but look what he had to work with!! No running game, no quarterback to speak of, what could he do??
Another coach sees this or his agency does and wants no part of it, just like Chip Kelly did last year. The owner harps and talks of consistency and hires a coach and one and done !! No stability as promised. If they made a mistake last year, it doesn’t say much about who is running this team !
I truly hope they find their guy as I, too, am a frustrated fan. But Haslam hired Banner so they wouldn’t make those mistakes and Lombardi, although not in the group yet, knows better. It’s GM first then coach, not the way they messed up!!
