NFL Crackdown: The Fans

First the players, now the fans?!?! Yesterday the NFL released their fan code of conduct . Fans who don’t follow this can be kicked out of the stadium and barred from ever coming back again.

The new code of conduct includes bans on such things as…..

• • Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal.
  • Drunkenness and signs of alcohol impairment that result in irresponsible behavior.
  • Foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.
  • Interference with the progress of the game, including throwing objects onto the field.
  • Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel.
  • Verbal or physical harassment of fans from the opposing team.

Oh gone are the days of the old Dawg Pound where all of these new rules where broken without care and regard to any visiting team or fan, and even thought I was still just a kid when the team left town I can still recall trips to Old Municipal Stadium for a Browns game and the energy that was the Dawg Pound (the new one is a joke/shade of its former self in my opinion)
