Good Morning Browns Fans!!!

Word coming out of Berea yesterday is the Browns are going to bring free agent quarterback Caleb Hanie to back up Brandon Weeden, while Jason Campbell is recovering from his concussion.

It is not a done deal that the Browns will sign Hanie, but they will have him in tomorrow and it certainly looks that way.

Hanie, backed up Jay Cutler in Chicago for four seasons and backed up Peyton Manning in Denver a year ago.

Coach Rob Chudzinski said the team will likely sign a QB before the Jaguars game.

Some other Browns news to report as well, was Browns coach Rob Chudzinski addressing the players after safety T.J. Ward went on a rant about the offense turning the ball over, when he met with the media shortly after the game on Sunday.  Chudzinski, wanted to put emphasis about not pointing fingers, and T.J. Ward’s teammates made it understood they don’t condone his comments either.

“I understood his frustration,” said D’Qwell Jackson, the undisputed leader of the locker room. “Everybody was disappointed. We put a lot into these last two weeks and to come up short it affects us all, but he’s got to do a better job of controlling those emotions. This is the time where we don’t need any division amongst any of us. I’m sure he regrets it. We haven’t spoken personally, but he was speaking out of frustration.

Well it seems the losses are wearing thin on some in the locker room, and it’s becoming a little harder to bite ones “proverbial” tongue.

Maybe they will use some of this fiery spirit on Sunday, when the Jacksonville Jaguars come to town.

Defensive end Desmond Bryant also expressed his disapproval over members of the defense calling out the offense.  “We’ve got to stick together as a team,” said Bryant. “We can’t point fingers at anybody else. That’s kind of how you tear apart the team. It’s something we talked about a little bit today. Going forward, I think we’re really going to come together and not focus on what somebody else is doing. If we focus on our job and do our job perfectly all the time, then we can talk about somebody else. But nobody’s going to do that, so there’s no room for that.”

Browns coach Rob Chudzinski talking to the team about the importance of sticking together and having each other’s backs.  “I talked to the team about the importance of us sticking together and this is the time when those frustrations come out, when you don’t have as much success in a game that you want to have,” said Chudzinski. “Again, we have a lot of football left to play this season. It’s a team sport and we need to stick together in that way.”

>The best part of this tweet by Derrick, is he is absolutely correct.  As funny as it sounds, the Browns are not yet eliminated from contention for that last playoff spot, which is currently being held by the Tennessee Titans.

>If you are keeping score at home, the Browns currently own the eighth pick in the 2014 draft.  Don’t look now but the Texans have taken over the top spot for May’s draft.
