Good Morning Browns Fans!!!

It has been an interesting week in Berea to say the least, and today’s NFC and AFC Championship games  will be a great

distraction from the coaching search, and unfortunately the complete meltdown of wide receiver Davone Bess.

In case you haven’t heard about the happenings this week, Bess tweeted out a couple of pictures with marijuana paraphernalia in it, and then was arrested in Florida for assaulting an office/fire fighter.

Then when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, Bess tweeted out a naked picture of himself on Saturday for the world to see.  Bess is obviously in a fragile state of mind, and someone needs to step in and get the guy some help before it’s too late!!

Also an interesting report surfaced via Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer, that Denver offensive coordinator Adam Gase may stay with the Broncos, even if he is offered the Cleveland Browns head coaching position.  The source stated Gase was actually leaning towards staying, which would not bode well for the Browns.

Although the Browns have been interviewing other candidates in the meantime, it is clear to everyone they covet Gase and have waited patiently to interview him.  If he turns them down with the fan base already sensing he is the front-runner this front office seeks, it could get pretty ugly, really quick.

If Gase turned them down, and they went with Buffalo defensive coordinator Mike Pettine or Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, would it look like the Browns missed out on their guy again, and had to settle for the next best thing a year later?

If the Broncos lose today, we may be able to find out the answer to this question early next week.

If they win, it will be several more weeks until we see which way the chips are gonna fall…

>My twitter friend WeWantOrangeCLE sends out a tweet that I think after this Bess meltdown is very valid.  The Browns need to do whatever they have to make sure that a super talent like Gordon stays out of trouble and does the right thing.  With the poor quarterback play Gordon led the league in receiving, so imagine what he would do with a competent quarterback.  I would like to think Gordon is walking the straight-line, but only time will tell.

>Amazing the difference a year makes!!! Last year at this time, we were all tickled pink over the coordinators selected to lead the newly owned Browns.  Now a year later, Horton and Turner are gone and with them, the Browns are left without a head coach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator.  Here’s to hoping the second time is the charm!!
