The Cleveland Browns face off with the Tennessee Titans today in a match-up of one win teams. The two teams share a couple things in common, including only having that one win, but seem to be going in different directions. That doesn’t mean it is all cupcakes and roses for the Browns today but it does mean we have 5 reasons to be optimistic heading into today’s 1 PM kickoff of Browns Vs Titans.

Mostly Healthy

Starting with something we hit on yesterday, the Browns have two players questionable for today’s game. Both are starters and are likely to give it up. Technically only defensive end Desmond Bryant is questionable with his wrist and glute issue. Ben Tate was reported as probable but stated that he thought he was more questionable.

That level of health will be huge for the Browns as they look to right the ship to a .500 record. If Tate and Bryant are able to play it will be the first time the Browns have had all of their starters in a game this season. Bryant missed the opener while Tate missed the next two games. Jordan Cameron was also out a game as well.

Bryant’s availability will be huge against the Titans who will want to run the ball. The Browns defense has struggled against the run and the Titans pass offense, more on that later, is a mess. Bryant, with his long frame, does a good job of holding the edge and can get into the backfield to blow up plays. Armonty Bryant, the likely starter if Desmond is out, is not nearly as strong. Armonty is a lean, fast athlete that is still learning leverage and growing NFL level strength.

As for the rest of the team, the bye week helped them all heal up from the bruises, bangs and scraps that come with an NFL season. Expect the offensive linemen to be a bit more explosive off the ball and linebackers flowing down hill. Unlike the first three opponents the Browns faced, who all liked to go fast at different times on offense, expect the Titans to play very methodical. This will allow the Browns to really use their depth and creative schemes to their advantage.
