As the Cleveland Browns take on the Oakland Raiders at home in Sunday’s mid-day game we will take a look at impact plays for the game.

Here are those impact plays for Browns Vs Raiders:

Previous Quarters: 1st Quarter 2nd Quarter

  • Jordan Cameron out for the day with concussion.
    • No run game and no Jordan Cameron is a big problem for the offense.
  • Neither offense able to get anything going in first possessions.
    • Derek Carr is clearly the best QB on the field right now.
  • Isaiah Crowell gets first snaps of game on second series.
    • Neither Ben Tate or Terrance West have played well in two weeks.
  • Browns force another punt with a great defensive stand, including Paul Kruger’s big sack on Carr.
    • Travis Benjamin gets stripped on the return, luckily the Browns recover.
  • Brian Hoyer’s pass to Miles Austin leads to a big gain.
    • Broken play and quick dump to Austin gets Browns good field position.
    • No running game still leads to a punt.
  • Carr with a long pass play to Marcel Reece.
    • No pressure by Browns defense and Jabaal Sheard dropping Reece in coverage leads to completion.
  • Raiders with methodical drive down the field as 3rd quarter winds down.
    • Play calling giving Carr easy throws.
  • Darren McFadden with a nice run over the right side but fumbles.
    • Donte Whitner with a big hit to cause the fumble, right into Joe Haden’s arms.
    • Haden caught the ball and ran it back to the 50 yard line.
  • Play action pass from Hoyer to Andrew Hawkins puts the ball inside the redzone.
    • No pressure from Raiders gives Hawkins time to get all the way across the formation.

Summary

The game is difficult to watch with very little offense and long game with a ton of short possessions and incomplete passes. The Raiders are getting some bigger plays with Carr’s arm helping rip passes in to receivers. Turnover huge to give Browns momentum to start the 4th quarter.
