The Cleveland Browns take on the Buffalo Bills today in a game that could have a big impact on the AFC Playoff Race. Both the Browns and the Bills are in the hunt for the Wild Card, while the Browns also are right in the AFC North race, where every team is 7 – 4 or better. Today’s game promises to be an interesting one.

Notes of Interest By Quarter: 1st Quarter   2nd Quarter

For Browns Vs Bills here are our 3rd Quarter Notes of Importance:

  • On 3rd down Joe Haden jumps the Kyle Orton pass to Sammy Watkins for an INT.
    • Great play by Haden, not a bad throw at all.
    • All Pro Joe.
  • On 3rd and 10 Browns try to go deep but Brian Hoyer is sacked.
    • No receiver open and strong pass rush pushes Browns out of field goal range.
  • Craig Robertson takes poor angle on Fred Jackson screen pass.
    • Big gain gets Bills out from inside the 20 yard line.
  • Browns stop Bills on 3rd and 4. Forcing 4th and 2.
    • Bills go for it on 4th down instead of attempting a 55 yard field goal.
    • Robert Woods with a great deep catch after good initial coverage. First and goal for Bills.
    • Next play quick easy TD pass by Kyle Orton.
    • Bills 7 Browns 3

More from Dawg Pound Daily

  • On Browns first play a toss to Terrance West goes nowhere.
    • West fumbles the ball and it is returned for a TD.
    • Bills 14 Browns 3
  • Browns offense does nothing. Bills offense does nothing.
    • Much the same as the rest of the game.
    • Unsure what the Browns can do to get their offense moving.

Summary

The Browns offense looks terrible. Very little life. Doesn’t look like Josh Gordon likes Brian Hoyer as his quarterback. The inability to run the ball is clear and the pass game struggles when they can’t play off play action. The Bills will now play conservative. The Browns defense has played well today but nothing from the offense suggests a win is likely. Eight total yards by the offense that quarter.
