2016 NFL Mock Draft: Browns select A’Shawn Robinson

"FanSided released a mock draft for the not so near 2016 NFL Draft, and the Cleveland Browns once again find themselves at the top of the draft board. The FanSided staff has the Browns selecting Alabama defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson with the fourth pick. The 300+ pounder would help Danny Shelton anchor a defensive line that is in desperate need of help."

Eyes fall on Mike Pettine as season comes into focus

"This season has not gone as the Cleveland Browns had planned. After a calamitous loss to the St Louis Rams dropped the Browns to 2-5, fingers are starting to point and head coach Mike Pettine is becoming the main target. The Browns’ flaunted defense is a sieve, they cannot run the ball and they are third in total penalties. Pettine’s vision is a pipe dream as the season circles the drain."

Mike Pettine: NFL meeting with Johnny Manziel is imminent

"The NFL’s meeting with Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is “imminent,” according to head coach Mike Pettine. “I do know when the league will interview Johnny,” Pettine said on Wednesday, according to media reports. “That meeting is imminent. … There’s a sense of urgency to it.” The league is investigating the Oct. 12 incident where Manziel was stopped by police in Avon, a suburb on Cleveland’s west side, after police said a domestic argument got out of hand between Manziel and his girlfriend, Colleen Elizabeth Crowley, a student at Texas Christian University. The police report said both Manziel and Crowley were drinking, but neither were charged."

Cleveland Browns injury report: Haden, Gipson return

"The Cleveland Browns released the first injury report for Sunday’s game with the Arizona Cardinals and it is good news as the secondary is getting the band back together. Corner Joe Haden, how has missed the past two games with a concussion, and safety Tashaun Gipson, who has missed the past three games with an ankle injury, were both able to return to practice on Wednesday."

Johnny Manziel gets starter’s reps on day he’s interviewed by NFL (ESPN)

"Johnny Manziel got the starter’s reps at quarterback Wednesday in practice for the Cleveland Browns. After practice, Manziel met with NFL investigators looking into what happened Oct. 12 in Avon, Ohio. Coach Mike Pettine described the interview as “imminent” at his Wednesday news conference. Sources said the interview took place late Wednesday afternoon, with a representative from the league present."

NFL News:

Hershel Walker to Redskins: Trade RGIII to Cowboys (NFL.com)

"With Robert Griffin III’s career crashing in our nation’s capitol, former Pro Bowl running back Herschel Walker has a special request for Redskins owner Daniel Snyder. “If RGIII’s got nothing to do, and Mr. Snyder doesn’t mind, send him down to Dallas,” Walker said this week, per JP Finlay of CSN Mid-Atlantic. Walker, a former Cowboys star, believes Griffin — active for just one game all season — would serve as a boost over quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel until Dallas gets Tony Romo back on the roster."

Brandon Marshall on Greg Hardy: ‘I don’t think he gets it’ (ESPN)

"Count New York Jets receiver Brandon Marshall as one player who isn’t a fan of how Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy carries himself on and off the field. “When I look at Greg and how he’s handled himself, on the field and in the locker room, I see a guy that is not aware,” Marshall said during a discussion on Showtime’s “Inside The NFL” that was broadcast Tuesday night. “He doesn’t understand the magnitude of what happened last year, what he did and the atmosphere surrounding the NFL."

Why Marc Trestman really lost the Bears locker room (FanSided)

"Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator and former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman is not known for being a respected coach around the NFL. He is sure to lose even more respect from the NFL after a disturbing story surfaced via Mike Freeman at Bleacher Report. The story reports that former Bears defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff showed up to practice and threw a fit of rage. This involved him acting belligerently toward players and coaches."
