Cleveland Browns:
2015 Cleveland Browns roster analysis: The receivers
"The 2015 NFL season was another brutal one for Cleveland Browns players and fans alike. A 3-13 record led to head coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer getting fired, ushering in another rebuilding process. After another painful season in Cleveland, it is time to look back at the good that can be found amongst the bad. The offense as a whole did not do much good throughout the season, but there were certain individuals who surprised in 2015."
5 do-overs of the Johnny Manziel selection in 2014
"Johnny Manziel appears to be on his way out of Cleveland. If there was ever a decision to be made on keeping him, he went out and made the decision himself. He consistently betrayed the trust and second chances given to him by Browns leadership, which led to more turnover in Berea. This is not to blame Manziel for the firings, but if he took his job seriously he may have been able to lead this team to greater things than a 3-13 season."
Cleveland Browns: Management at the Senior Bowl
"The 2016 Senior Bowl will be played this Saturday in Mobile, Alabama, and several new faces in the Cleveland Browns organization have been in Mobile throughout the week evaluating talent. Hue Jackson, Sashi Brown, and Chisom Opara, a Browns scout, all spoke with Andrew Gribble of clevelandbrowns.com about what they are looking for at the event."
Cleveland Browns: Interest in Carson Wentz is growing (Factory of Sadness)
"We are two days away from the Senior Bowl and a month away from the 2106 NFL Combine, but the buzz involving the Cleveland Browns’ interest in Carson Wentz is legit. Should Cleveland decide to draft Wentz it would be with their second overall pick. Wentz has already spoken to Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson, who was very impressed by the quarterback. Up until recently, the possibility of Cleveland trading back into the first round could have been on the table to select Wentz."
Browns great Jim Brown doesn’t want Johnny Manziel traded (FanSided)
"The situation for Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is just as uncertain as ever at the end of his 2015 season. Through his various antics that saw him benched on numerous occasions throughout the year, his future with the organization is clearly in question. Rumblings around the league that Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is ready to either trade or outright release Manziel only further that uncertainty."
NFL News:
Raiders owner to meet with Vegas magnate, per report (ESPN)
"While a leaked memo from UNLV president Len Jessup said representatives of the Oakland Raiders will be in Las Vegas on Friday to check out potential stadium sites, team owner Mark Davis would offer only a cryptic comment. “In typical Raider fashion,” Davis said with a laugh over the phone from the Bay Area, “I can neither confirm nor deny.”"
Senior Bowl a missed opportunity for QB Connor Cook (NFL.com)
"Though the Reese’s Senior Bowl drew a strong contingent of quarterbacks this year, it could have been a bit stronger had Michigan State’s Connor Cook accepted his invitation. But his absence was more his loss than the game’s. The Spartans’ three-year starter will instead show NFL coaches and scouts what he can do at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis next month, but for a player whose leadership skills have been questioned, the Senior Bowl was a missed opportunity."
5 reasons the Carolina Panthers will win Super Bowl 50 (Cat Crave)
"Appearing in their second Super Bowl, not only do the Carolina Panthers play like the best team in the NFL, but this is by far the best team in franchise history. Many media pundits, personalities, and opposing fans alike have detracted from Carolina’s success during the 2015 season, and some still do, but through it all the Panthers arrive at Super Bowl 50 with only a single blemish on their record – a flat performance at Atlanta, dropping their perfect season to an overall record of 17-1."
