Michael Thomas, Wide Receiver, Ohio State

Browns drafting back-to-back receivers would give the Browns a complete compliment of two playmaking receivers. Thomas would be the ideal compliment to Corey Coleman (Browns first round selection) as he is a terrific route runner and is sure handed. Thomas projects as an intermediate, possession receiver who will be a reliable target. Corey Coleman will be the home run hitter for the Browns taking the top off of opposing defenses, while Thomas is a savvy route runner and can get open with advanced route running skills.

CBS Sports draft expert Dane Brugler compared Thomas to New York Giants Wide Receiver, Reuben Randle:

"A more refined version of Randle, Thomas is a good-sized target with the athleticism and catch radius to be a reliable target, deserving of first round consideration."

Thomas was a highly productive player for the scarlet and gray during three year career. He recorded over 50 catches, 700 yards and had 9 touchdowns in consecutive seasons in 2014 and 2015. Thomas, is the ideal possession receiver to pair with the speedy Corey Coleman.

Thomas would also provide the Browns with a true red zone weapon. At 6-3, 212 pounds, Thomas provides the ideal size of an NFL receiver and would be the biggest receiver on the Browns roster. Thomas uses his body well to pin point jump balls and box out defenders. Thomas would give the Browns a much-needed red zone option, and would give the Browns another weapon to pair with Corey Coleman and Gary Barnidge.
