Daily Dawg Tags: Salvaging the season this Sunday
The Cleveland Browns are looking to pick up a win on Sunday to stop the 0-16 talks in 2017 before the conversation can gain any momentum.
The Cleveland Browns head into Sunday’s matchup as slight favorites on the betting lines. Can you believe it?
Maybe it’s a sign as Browns fans need something positive to focus on before the Week 5 game against Josh McCown and the New York Jets.
The main source of good news is the return of Myles Garrett, who has been practicing this week after missing the first four games with an ankle injury. Can he be the ultimate difference? Probably not, but he should provide a spark on defense.
I hate to say the Browns need a win Sunday because I’ve been saying this for three weeks, but this is the final stretch of games deemed “winnable” just a few weeks ago. A win to put the team to 1-4 doesn’t mean they’re going 12-4, yet it does give this young roster an early win to build on moving forward. A luxury the 2016 group didn’t have.
We take a look at this and more from around the NFL in today’s edition of the Daily Dawg Tags.
