The Cleveland Browns may decide to part ways with Zane Gonzalez during the bye week after he continued to struggle with several misses in London.

Nothing has gone right for the Cleveland Browns in 2017, so it is no surprise that the kicker the team chose is struggling.

Zane Gonzalez missed a field goal and an extra point on Sunday, making him 7/11 on the year in field goals. The final score of 33-16 doesn’t make the kicks seem too important, but nothing shifts momentum like a missed field goal.

Gonzalez missed two field goals against the New York Jets that could have changed the game, and his struggles could lead to the Browns making a change. The bye week makes it easy for the team to have kickers come to Berea for a tryout, even just to take a look at who is out there.

Gonzalez was drafted in the seventh round and likely because of that, he won the job over Cody Parkey, who has only missed one field goal for the Miami Dolphins this season.

Drafting a kicker rarely makes sense and for a team that values draft picks like gold, the move was even more confusing. Yet this is the Browns, so nothing surprises fans anymore.
