If the Cleveland Browns want to try and win now, they could use some of their draft stock to acquire veteran talent. Here’s 5 possible targets to consider.

The Cleveland Browns are in their time of year as they again want to sell hope to fans. That hope can come in the form of draft picks, free agents or even through a trade.

So far there’s been a lot of trades in the NFL. Alex Smith was sent to the Washington Redskins — and Kendall Fuller was sent to Kansas City in that deal as well. There’s also been Marcus Peters going to the Los Angeles Rams and Robert Quinn to the Miami Dolphins.

Even though the Browns haven’t been involved in any of these trades, that doesn’t mean it should stay that way. This isn’t a call for them to trade the No. 1 or even the No. 4 overall pick, because they shouldn’t. Those picks are way too valuable for building the future in Cleveland.

Instead, they could use one of their many second-round, or even later picks to try and lure away some veteran talent that can help them put the 0-16 record of theirs in the past.

Here is a look at five different players they should call around about and see what the price could be.
