3. Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans Saints

This one could be reaching, but the New Orleans Saints are no strangers to making unexpected big moves. Just last season they went out and sent wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the New England Patriots in exchange for a first-round pick.

Part of the reason they felt good doing that was the emergence of Michael Thomas. The second-year player was good as a rookie and the coaching staff felt he was ready to take over. Which he did.

That same formula could happen this season. Rookie running back Alvin Kamara was fantastic for the Saints, as was veteran Mark Ingram. However, the Saints could get some value out of Ingram while his name is hot and turn the ball over to Kamara even more.

For Cleveland, picking up someone like Ingram would be huge. The 28-year old back has gone over 1,000-yards for the past two seasons and even had 12 touchdowns in 2017. He’s also a great receiver out of the backfield, twice hitting the 50-plus reception mark.

Ingram would be a bell cow for the Browns and could change their entire offense. Whoever they wind up starting at quarterback could lean heavily on Ingram, whether that’s by handing him the ball or throwing to him.
