Round 4 Pick 103: Micah Kiser, LB, Virginia

Back on the clock in Round 4, the Browns start to pick players that can be depth pieces. Micah Kiser was a highly productive linebacker at Virginia, but he’s not a spectacular athlete. He won’t make the wow plays that you want, but he’s technically sound.

He may never develop into an everyday starter, but Kiser gives you a guy with good size and instincts that can help on coverage units and fill in when needed. Won’t be a pick that gets fans excited, but it’s one that would be very smart.

Round 4 Pick 125: Jalyn Holmes, DE/DT, Ohio State

Their second pick in the fourth goes to an Ohio State guy in Jalyn Holmes. This guy has great size at 6-foot-5 and 283-pounds. He still showed good speed by hitting 4.82 in the 40-yard dash and was able to get up to 32 inches on his vertical.

He has large hands which helps with fighting off offensive linemen and long arms that can affect the quarterback’s vision and passing windows. He was never a full-time player because of the talent around him at Ohio State, which is no knock on him. He could develop into a star with the right coaching.
