Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the news you need to know in order to keep up with the Cleveland Browns and the rest of the NFL

It’s still a slow news cycle as teams are focused on the upcoming NFL Draft and the Cleveland Browns seem zeroed in as their busy offseason has slowed to a crawl. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still getting themselves some attention — even if it comes via some former players.

One of the biggest stories is former quarterback Johnny Manziel trying to blame the Browns for being a part of his failure. The former first-round pick said Cleveland should have seen he wasn’t worth a first-round pick, which is a weird way to try and endear yourself to teams as you hope for a comeback.

He’s partially right, that they should have seen he wasn’t ready for what it would take to be an NFL player, but rather than smearing the Browns, he should be apologetic for letting down the one team to ever believe in him.

In some lighter news, another former Browns signal caller is getting a shot to revive his career. Robert Griffin III was the last quarterback to win a game for Cleveland (during their 1-15 campaign in 2016) and after spending all of 2017 out of the league, he was signed by the Baltimore Ravens.

Not only does it give him another shot to make it as a pro, but it brings him close to the team he thrived with as a rookie while with the Washington Redskins.

Those stories and more highlight today’s Dawg Tags.
