Daily Dawg Tags: Johnny Manziel plays some football
By Randy Gurzi
Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel played in a Spring League game Saturday. No word yet on if he blamed Cleveland for the sloppy nature of the game.
Just call him Johnny Spring League. Former Cleveland Browns first-round bust Johnny Manziel continues his attempt to get back into the NFL.
His latest venture brought him to a High School field outside of Austin, Texas.
There he played in a sloppy game of Spring League football, which unsurprisingly frustrated him. It also wouldn’t be a surprise if he blamed Cleveland for the game being out of sorts as he seems to think a lot of the blame for him being awful was on them.
He completed 9-of-15 passes in this one for 82 yards. He did throw a touchdown pass, which can be seen on a Tweet vis ESPN.
Manziel continues to say he will do whatever he needs to in order to get his career back on track. Apparently that doesn’t mean admitting all the blame was on him, but hey, it’s close right?

"“It’s disappointing, some of the things that happened,” he said, “but nevertheless, it’s a huge step for me. I put pads back on. A lot of people wrote me off just to even get to this point. I’m definitely emotional about it. I’m definitely happy about it. This isn’t the end goal for me, but I’m having fun again. I have a smile on my face.”"
