It may be a slow period for the NFL now that free agency has slowed and the draft is behind us, but that doesn’t mean there’s no news at all. The Cleveland Browns are still preparing for the 2018 NFL Season, and we plan to keep you up to date with everything going on.
The latest buzz around the Browns isn’t anything they will be doing on the field, but the field they will be playing on instead. The Browns front office is considering the possibility of building a new stadium.
Now, this isn’t anything that will happen soon, as the Browns have 10-years left on their lease in First Energy Stadium.

They first started playing at their current home in 1999, when the Browns came back to the NFL. Sitting on a prime location bordering Lake Erie, it would be weird to see the team play elsewhere. Still, it’s an idea that’s at least being floated.

"During an interview with ESPN.com this week, Browns co-owner Dee Haslam revealed that the team is in the very early stages of planning a major downtown development project that could include a new stadium. Haslam also said that the team might consider renovating FirstEnergy Stadium, which opened in 1999."
