Tip 2: If giving a tour of your childhood home, ensure the place is safe before showing up with a camera crew.
Again, this may sound like a no brainer, but people have failed to follow this rule in the past. Remember former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston? He failed to follow this advice on his home tour.

He did a good job of pointing out where he used to urinate as a child. He also pointed out where to get a cold drink at the house. But he failed to mention that the drink station is where you urinate, until it was too late. Although such a living arrangement is convenient (who doesn’t want to just drink and urinate in the same place), it is not always the most sanitary of arrangements.
So, do yourself and the film crew a favor and make sure the house is sanitary and safe to have visitors before bringing the entire crew. Might want to buy drinks in advance. And if there is no running water, rent a porta potty for the day.
Tip 3: Be careful of expressing any controversial views. This is especially true if your views stray from conventional thinking.

But I do know that most of the world’s population accepts as true that the world is round. If you have one of these “outside the box” views. It may be best to keep it to yourself.
This may sound like an easy thing to remember. But once you get used to a camera around, it gets easy to forget they are there are just let things slip. Once it is out there, it is hard to get away from. Case in point, William Hayes’ belief that mermaid exist but dinosaurs do not.
To avoid this happening to you, you might want to have a talk with any player, coach or personnel member of the Browns organization to discuss what is appropriate to discuss about you on camera. William Hayes probably would not have had this story line blow up in his face had his coach not thrown him under the bus on camera. And you know how Hue Jackson is in front of cameras. Be safe, have the discussion. Your reputation will thank you.
