The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Joe Thomas helping the younger Browns linemen and more.

The Cleveland Browns are going to feel how much Joe Thomas had an impact on this team when they try to replace him this season. It is hard for a team to replace a Hall of Fame caliber player, but it is even harder when the team was unable to prepare for it a year or two ahead of time.

Now that Thomas is gone, the Browns are having a competition to find his replacement. Shon Coleman is currently getting the starting reps at left tackle. Coleman started all 16 games at right tackle for the Browns last season, but did not play well. He may feel more comfortable playing on the left side than the right side of the line.

There is also rookie Austin Corbett. The Browns drafted Corbett with the 33rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, which made it seem that he was Thomas’ replacement. But he is starting out with the backups and not purely focusing on learning left tackle.

With Thomas still rehabbing from his triceps injury, he has been in the Browns facility. He also helping the Browns linemen in figuring out left tackle and helping get comfortable at the position.

That story and more can be found in today’s edition of Daily Dawg Tags.
