Most Improved Position

This is not an individual award, of course, as one player does not a position group make. However, the “Most Improved Position” award goes to the one position group who, quite simply, made the biggest leap from the end of last season and throughout training camp this year. Positions nominated for this award were the quarterbacks, wide receivers, and cornerbacks. This year, our Most Improved Position award goes to the quarterback room.

Tyrod Taylor, Baker Mayfield, Drew Stanton, even Brogan Roback, you have successfully revitalized a much-maligned position for the Cleveland Browns. Over the past two decades, the Browns have seen quarterback after quarterback, and all have failed in the face of constant AFC North adversity. But no longer!

With the new John Dorsey-fied quarterback room, the Browns look ready to take on all comers, no matter the roster. Whether or not they’ll win those games could be a different story, but the roster looks competitive and unlike past years, on par with most of the league. That is in no small part to the quarterback room that this new Browns regime has built. Congratulations, Mr. Taylor, Mayfield, Stanton, and Roback. You have no doubt earned this serious honor, as you begin to rebuild what the Browns once were, and hopefully will be, far into the future.
