With the entire Cleveland Browns roster being over-hauled this off-season, most of the attention during training camp gets focused on the sexy positions: Quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback.
But with all of the new talent on the roster, there are position battles everywhere. There are some that fans may not even know are happening.
That is the case for the one position battle that has received no attention throughout training camp and the first two weeks of the preseason. The battle that is starting to wind down is the kicker competition.

The competition has been between second-year kicker Zane Gonzalez and the hometown-kid Ross Martin.

"Browns special teams coordinator Amos Jones rated the battle between incumbent kicker Zane Gonzalez and Martin as “even” at the midpoint of the preseason, which is a positive sign for the latter."
The good news is that the Browns have two kickers that are showing potential to being very good kickers in the league. If the team can find the most reliable kicker out of the two, the special teams units seem to be in good shape.
