Stud: Carlos Hyde

The Browns have struggled to establish any running game during their first two games of the regular season, but that changed on Thursday night.

Carlos Hyde was the only Browns ball-carrier that received significant touches with 23 carries, with Taylor being the next closest with four carries. And Hyde certainly did not disappoint in a busy day for him.

The 28-year-old running back was celebrating his birthday on Thursday, but was also busy at the hospital as his wife was in labor with their child. Hyde had to go straight from the hospital to FirstEnergy Stadium to prepare for his best game in a Cleveland Browns uniform.

Hyde was a key part of the Browns offense Thursday night, rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. It seemed like the Browns changed their run blocking scheme at the point of attack, which helped Hyde find holes and took advantage of the Jets defense.

Hyde also had more running room when Mayfield entered the game, as the Jets defense had to consider what Mayfield could do to them through the air.

For the stress that Hyde had to of been going through knowing what was happening with his family, his performance was exceptional. It is certainly a night that he will never forget for the rest of his life.
