By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news that you need to know, including how owner Jimmy Haslam could be the organization’s problem.
The Cleveland Browns have once again moved on from a head coach, with this firing being one that should have happened.
Ever since Jimmy Haslam bought the Browns in 2012, the organization has had four different head coaches, with interim head coach Gregg Williams becoming the fifth different head coach.
If all things go as expected this off-season, the Browns will hire another head coach, making that person the sixth head coach in Haslam’s six seasons as Cleveland’s owner.

With the amount of turnover at head coach, many wonder what is the main problem. Is it plans backfiring? Coaches not getting through to the roster? Or is it the organization is putting people in positions that will not work out?
In today’s featured article, one writer believes that if Haslam would step away from the team for two years, the organization would be in a better place.

"There’s no point in asking the Haslams to sell. Remember the part about the pile of money that magically grows no matter how many bad decisions you make? So, in the name of doing right by Browns fans, we can ask the Haslams to do this, at least for a year or two:Go away."
For many teams, the owners are not too involved with the football operations of the organization, and instead deal with most of the business aspects. But Haslam is different, and him stepping away from the football ops may be the best case for the Browns as they hire their next head coach.
Five early potential head coaching candidates for the Browns
As the Browns start the process to find their next head coach, Randy Gurzi lists five different coaches, all being at different points in their career, that could be potential candidates for the head coach job.
"Now, the Browns will see their No. 1 pick adapt to a brand new set of adverse circumstances. As Mayfield prepares for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs and the rest of the second half of Cleveland’s schedule, he’ll be doing so under the guidance of a new head coach and offensive coordinator."
The main reason for the Browns to fire Hue Jackson and Todd Haley was to make sure Baker Mayfield is developing properly. If the Browns did not put the right people in place to help Mayfield’s development for the last eight games of the season, then they messed up this whole situation.
