Cleveland Browns News: Rashard Higgins motivated to beat Bengals
By Randy Gurzi
The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including wide receiver Rashard Higgins feeling motivated for this week.
Interim head coach Gregg Williams said the Cleveland Browns won’t be concerned with former coach Hue Jackson being on the sidelines for the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend. Wide receiver Rashard Higgins seemed to take a different approach.
While he wasn’t playing Jackson’s presence opposite them up too much, Higgins did say the Browns will have extra motivation this weekend with him over there.
Of course, the Browns don’t need extra motivation right now. They’re 3-6-1 and are playing very well — including winning against the Atlanta Falcons just before their bye week.

"“Yes, yes, it will be a lot of motivation going into Cincinnati week because he’s over there,’’ Higgins said at the Feed the Need Thanksgiving charity event to feed the hungry Tuesday afternoon at Townhall. “Absolutely. From him coming to Cleveland it’s been hard, and we grinded it out with him. We’re not going to put too much pressure on it, but we’re going to go out and play ball.’’"
Higgins said that he and the team won’t worry too much about Jackson and that this game isn’t about what Hue knows. The offense is so different than when Hue was on the sidelines that Higgins is right that he won’t have much effect on this one. That doesn’t mean players won’t want to beat the team and upset Jackson in the process.
Top-5 Cleveland Browns touchdown celebration suggestions
With Cleveland now getting into the end zone more frequently, Mike Lukas has a few suggestions on how they can celebrate their touchdowns. The best is surely the team getting out there and ‘watching the tape.’
"I know this is a way-too-early prediction, but Mayfield appears to have given the Browns a chance to compete in the AFC North. At least, when it comes to quarterbacks."
While Ben Roethlisberger is the best in the division right now, Baker Mayfield has way more upside than Andy Dalton and Joe Flacco (or maybe Lamar Jackson when he takes over). It’s fun to see Mayfield grow, and yes he is capable of leading this team into contention in the AFC North soon.
"Cleveland Browns players, along with Fox 8 morning team, Giant Eagle and members of the Browns Women Organization, spent part of their day Tuesday at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank."
It’s always great to see players give back and the week of Thanksgiving is a great opportunity for them to do just that. Great work here by the Browns players.
