The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Baker Mayfield feeling like the team can get back in the race

The Cleveland Browns have a certifiable star on their roster. Rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield held a press conference on Wednesday ahead of their Week 12 game and he had his typical lines that got attention.

One was how quickly he refused to acknowledge Hue Jackson could give the Cincinnati Bengals an advantage. Another was him saying that he only feels dangerous on game days.

He also made some noise by saying the Browns are ready to go on a run and get back into the race. That’s not the normal talk of a 3-6-1 team, but that’s what makes Mayfield so great. He believes every word of it when he says the Browns are ready to win, which makes him a great leader.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield press conference – 11/21 — ClevelandBrowns.com

"On individual goals for the rest of the season:“Lead this team to a bunch of wins. Put us back in the race.”On if there was anything deeper to his ‘feeling dangerous’ comment postgame:“No, I have said that always or for the past couple of years. My family texts me on gameday. They ask me how I am feeling. That is the response. That is nothing new for me. That is just the first time I have said it in a press conference.”"

Baker Mayfield just exudes confidence and it’s contagious. All season the goal has been to change the culture and he’s doing that on his own. Even if the Browns don’t get back in the race, their future is bright.

Defense could get boost from Terrance Mitchell

After fracturing his forearm in Week 4, defensive back Terrance Mitchell has been designated to return from I.R. He still will have to miss two more weeks but could help down the stretch.

Looking to avoid serious embarrassment in Week 12

The NFL robbed the Browns of a Week 4 win on the road, and because of that, they’re still looking to end their 25-game losing streak away from home. If they can’t win, they will tie the longest streak of all-time. Let’s hope they don’t get into the record books for this one.

Joel Bitonio thinks Browns fan hate Steelers more than Bengals — Jeff Risdon, Browns Wire, USA Today

"“I think the first team that everybody hated was Pittsburgh,” Bitonio declared in his typically pensive press conference. “That is what the fans would tell me, like, ‘Pittsburgh sucks’ and all of that stuff.”"

Joel is probably right. The Steelers are usually the No. 1 team Browns fans want to see lose games. However, this week it’s all about the Bengals and seeing them take a loss in their own stadium.
