Cleveland Browns News
"Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield wasn’t happy to see his former head coach immediately join a division rival, but Browns legend Jim Brown defended Hue Jackson for taking a role with the Cincinnati Bengals."
It appears that Brown was a fan of Jackson during his time in Cleveland, as he said that Jackson has value as a coach. Brown did not say anything bad about Mayfield, which goes to show that he really is not trying to rile anyone up with his comments.
Browns young play-makers are coming into their own
In the first half of the season, it seemed like the Browns did not have the weapons on the offensive side of the ball to have a sufficient offense. Casey Kinnamon believes that the Browns offensive play-makers are starting to show their talent and that’s why the offense has been successful.
"After leading the Browns to consecutive wins for the first time since Weeks 8-10 of the 2014 season, Mayfield believes the increased productivity comes from a new level of comfort within the huddle and the locker room."
The difference in Mayfield’s play since the firings of Jackson and Todd Haley has been obvious. Instead of trying to have Mayfield work in Haley’s offense, Freddie Kitchens has built an offense around Mayfield, and the results have worked out well for the Browns.
Freddie Kitchens could be a dark horse head coaching candidate
Kitchens has done great work with the Browns offense since he took over as offensive coordinator, and that is why Martin McConnell thinks that Kitchens could be a dark horse candidate for the Browns head coaching job.
