4. Tim Couch

Taken No. 1 overall out of Kentucky by the resurrected Cleveland Browns in 1999, Tim Couch was supposed to lead a franchise with a rich history to even greener grass; history tells a much harsher story. However, out of every quarterback on this list, Couch remains the longest-tenured quarterback in Cleveland Browns history (post-1999).

Couch remained on the team for five years, starting 59 games, and finishing with an overall record of 22-37. His most memorable season was 2002 where he had the Browns at a record of 8-6 before suffering an injury two weeks before the end of the season and was replaced by another quarterback still to appear on this list. Couch threw 64 touchdowns and 67 interceptions over his five seasons with the team and finished with a quarterback rating of 75.1.

Following his time in Cleveland with the Browns, Couch went to Green Bay to back up Brett Favre, but unfortunately never saw any playing time in the NFL ever again, leaving many thinking what could have been. Couch returned to Cleveland this summer as it was announced that he and former ESPN analyst and Cleveland sports fan Jay Crawford had been hired to broadcast three of the four Browns preseason games.
