Cleveland Browns News: Joe Thomas selected for College Football HOF

Former Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas had a legendary career in the NFL that was cut a few seasons short due to an injury.
After tearing his left triceps in the middle of the 2017 season, Thomas decided that it was the right time to call it a career.
Thomas has all of the milestones that makes him an obvious candidate to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when he is eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

However, Thomas is not going to have to wait long to be named a Hall of Famer, as he was selected to be a member of the 2019 class for the College Football Hall of Fame.

"The former Browns offensive tackle was one of 13 players named Monday as 2019 inductees to the College Football Hall of Fame. The former University of Wisconsin star joined the likes of Texas legend Vince Young, Cleveland native London Fletcher and former Steelers star Troy Polamalu in this year’s class."
Much like his time in Cleveland, Thomas collected multiple milestones at the University of Wisconsin. When the Browns drafted Thomas third overall in the 2007 NFL Draft, some saw it as a surprise, as Adrian Peterson was looked at as a game-changer. However, Thomas did what he did in college and became a top offensive linemen.

The Browns are going to need to add a linebacker in 2019, as their unit was destroyed by running backs and tight ends. Luckily for the Browns, they will have some good options in free agency with multiple top-tier linebackers set to be free agents.
