The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news that you need to know, including the Browns having options at wide receiver.

The Cleveland Browns saw multiple wide receivers emerge and play big roles during the 2018 season – especially when Baker Mayfield took over at quarterback.

Mayfield made a habit of spreading the ball around the field and hitting several targets throughout the course of games.

Since Mayfield likes to throw to several receivers, it would make sense for Cleveland to add another target or two this off-season. Since Rashard Higgins and Breshad Perriman are free agents, wide receiver could become a priority if either player moves on – Higgins is likely to return considering he is a restricted free agent.

Cleveland Browns 2019 free-agent options at wide receiver: Film Room – Jake Burns, Cleveland.com

"It’s tough to get a great feel for how badly the Browns think they need to add at wide receiver. Free agency will clear some of this up, but if they avoid one in free agency, expect them to use a pick in one of the first three rounds of the draft."

The Browns have more holes across the roster that should be a priority instead of adding another wide receiver this off-season. But it would be reasonable if the Browns sign a wide receiver in free agency and address their other needs in the draft.

This is an extremely important off-season for Antonio Callaway. He started to emerge as a play-maker at the end of the 2018 season and could become a vital part of the 2019 offense. If he can stay out of trouble this off-season, he could carry the momentum from 2018 into 2019. His charges from last year is a good start for Callaway.
