New England Patriots – Defensive End Trey Flowers
If the Browns want to make a big move this off-season and address one of their biggest needs, then looking at the defensive line options in free agency would be the approach to take. The defensive line class is loaded this off-season and there are several talented players available.

One of the names that should get one of the biggest contract this off-season is defensive end Trey Flowers. Flowers has thrived in New England’s multiple front defense and has become a vital part of the Patriots’ success on the defensive side of the ball.
In 2018, the 25-year-old compiled 57 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and 20 quarterback hits. Although fans of other teams in the NFL are just now learning about Flowers, he has put up similar production the two seasons prior.
Flowers has the versatility to play all over the defensive line, and that’s exactly what he did in the Patriots’ defense. Considering his production, young age, and versatility, Flowers should cash in on a massive deal in free agency.
Although the Browns believe in Emmanuel Ogbah at defensive end opposite of Myles Garrett, adding a talent like Flowers would change the dynamic for Cleveland’s defense. And having multiple players on the defensive line that can move up and down the line creates even more problems for opposing offenses.
It could cost the Browns a chunk of their cap space, but it would be money well spent. Pairing Flowers with Garrett could create one of the most dynamic pass rushing duos in the NFL for years to come.
