Round 3 Pick 17: Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State

With their first pick, it would have been tempting to land someone such as N’Keal Harry or Hakeem Butler to shore up their receiving corps. However, they decide to wait to land another wideout and still find themselves a solid playmaker here in Parris Campbell.

The Ohio State product was impressive in the Combine with a 40-inch vertical jump and 4.31-second 40-yard dash. He also stated he would love to stay in the state of Ohio and play for the Browns.

"“It would be nice, honestly. My family, just throughout my entire career, have been right by my side. Never once slacked, never once failed, never missed a game, never missed anything. They were just always there for me, and they’re the reason I’m the man I am today and the reason I’m the player I am today. So it would be huge.” — Campbell said at the Scouting Combine according to Nick Shook of Cleveland.com"

Campbell isn’t the big-bodied target that the Browns seem to need but he’s still a complete receiver who would help open things up for players such as Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway. There’s also a chance they could land a player in free agency at the position as well, but their committee continues to get stronger with this addition.
