Cleveland Browns: 3 Undrafted rookies to watch at training camp
By Randy Gurzi
2. David Blough, Quarterback
The Browns carried three quarterbacks last season as they went with Tyrod Taylor as the starter, Baker Mayfield as the rookie they planned on grooming and Drew Stanton as the veteran mentor to Mayfield. That plan changed once Mayfield hit the field, which could also alter how many quarterbacks they keep on the roster in 2019.

Mayfield will be the clear cut starter and Stanton seems like a safe bet to be the backup. He has the experience and has won games in the NFL, so it seems like a natural fit. Behind him is Garrett Gilbert, of AAF fame and David Blough, the rookie out of Purdue.
Blough has some big games for the Boilermakers but has a long road to the 53-man roster. Even with that being the case, he has a path to being a member of the team this season, which would be through the practice squad.
The question will be whether or not the team sees a huge disparity between Gilbert and Blough. If they decide Gilbert is too far ahead of the rookie, they may need to keep three quarterbacks on the roster in order to have an emergency quarterback they can trust.
However, should Blough prove to have the playbook down and be at least in the same range talent-wise of Gilbert, that could allow them to sneak him onto the practice squad and go with only two signal-callers on the 53-man roster.
