Odell Beckham Jr. and Baker Mayfield aren’t on the same page…yet

The Browns offense has been the constant story of training camp with the likes of Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. With their potential of being a high-octane offense, a lot of focus is being on them to see what they can do during practice.

Despite having limited practicing together during the offseason program, Mayfield and Beckham have been able to hook up on several passes, including Beckham making multiple outstanding catches. But even with those connections, Beckham knows they aren’t on the same page quite yet, but says they’ll be scary when they fully develop their chemistry.

With how much work the Browns are putting into their passing game, there should be no concerns about if Mayfield and Beckham will develop chemistry before the season. Mayfield will be targeting Beckham often, so the chemistry should develop naturally.

Beckham said they are able to make the plays on the field right now because Mayfield tells him what he needs to do and he puts the pass right where he tells Beckham to go. So even if they aren’t on the same page, they are still making plays.

They may not be on the same page just yet, but Mayfield and Beckham are still connecting all over the field. Once they get their timing down completely, the Browns offense will be rolling on all cylinders.
