By Dan Justik
The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including running back Kareem Hunt acknowledging his mistake a few weeks ago.
The Cleveland Browns have dealt with some scrutiny after their signing of Kareem Hunt in February because of his off-field issues. But the Browns said he was going to have to earn his roster spot and they would have a zero-tolerance policy if Hunt had anymore off-field problems.
After having no off-field issues during most of the offseason, it seemed like Hunt had learned from his previous mistakes. But Hunt was involved with an incident at a Cleveland bar at the end of June, creating some concerns.
Although the incident was only a minor argument between Hunt and friends, it showed the tight-rope that Hunt will be walking for the rest of his career.

"“It was a misunderstanding and I appreciate that the Browns still had my back and I know I can’t have those,” he said. “So I look to move forward and continue bettering myself and I’m working and getting ready for the season.”"
Because of what Hunt has done in his past, everything he does off the field is going to be scrutinized for the foreseeable future. The June incident may have only been minor, but Hunt should be able to learn from the situation.
5 Cleveland Browns making an impression during training camp
The Cleveland Browns have been in training camp for just under two weeks, but there have been multiple players who have improved their stock during camp. Randy Gurzi looks at five players who have made an impression so far.
Fresh Takes: Observations from Day 10 of Browns training camp – Nick Shook, ClevelandBrowns.com
"It’s the latest and greatest play made by a player whose stock has skyrocketed through this camp. Willies even had a good day Saturday in a session that showed more promise in his route-running than his playmaking. One would be hard-pressed to find a bad practice for Willies, who looks more and more like he’s in good position to make this team."
The Browns wide receiver competition has taken some hits recently, making it not as competitive of a battle as it was earlier in camp. But because of the emergence of Derrick Willies during the majority of training camp and giving himself a great chance at making the final roster, his presence has also made it less of a battle.
Leader may be emerging in Browns right guard competition
The competition to become the next Browns starting right guard has not had a player stand out from the group. But that may have changed on Monday when one of the three competitors worked with the first-team offense for back-to-back practices for the first time during camp.
