2. Nick Chubb will Stay on Fire

If you read my weekly bold predictions then you might be thinking “he talks about Nick Chubb way too much.”  That may be true but there is no doubt that he has been the best player on the Browns this season.

He had two crucial turnovers at the beginning of the game last week against the New England Patriots but didn’t let it shake his confidence, he ran for 131 yards on the league’s second-best defense.

Every test he has faced against a good defense he has passed with flying colors. He averaged 4.4 yards per carry against the Tennessee Titans, 8.2 YPC versus the Baltimore Ravens, 5.4 YPC against the San Francisco 49ers and 5.4 YPC against the Patriots.

He will face a similar challenge this week as he goes up against the eighth-ranked defense in total yards. But they are not a fierce run defense. They don’t have good linebackers or good interior defensive lineman.

This sets up perfectly for a Cleveland offensive line who has been great all year long. The big guys up front love to run block and can help get them rolling in the passing game.

Chubb flew under the radar coming into this season, everyone was focused on what Baker Mayfield would do after an impressive rookie season. With the acquisition of Beckham, Chubb may have been forgotten about even more.

That may have worked in his favor as he has been tearing defenses apart this season. He has been so good that he probably will not split carries with Kareem Hunt when he returns from suspension in a few weeks.
