The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Baker Mayfield no longer holding a grudge against Kliff Kingsbury.

When the Cleveland Browns schedule was first announced, the Dawg Pound circled Cleveland’s Week 15 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals as a big game. The main reason it was viewed as a big game because it was expected to be a grudge match between Baker Mayfield and Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

The two have a rough history because Kingsbury did not offer Mayfield a scholarship when they were both still at Texas Tech. Mayfield ultimately transferred to Oklahoma and Kingsbury was fired from Texas Tech, but landed the head coaching gig with the Cardinals.

However, Sunday’s matchup may not be as much of a grudge match as many anticipated it would be. Since the scholarship issue six years ago, it appears both Mayfield and Kingsbury no longer have an issue with each other.

Kliff Kingsbury says past differences in college with Baker Mayfield have been mended – Josh Weinfuss, ESPN

"At the Browns’ facility in Berea, Ohio, Mayfield agreed with Kingsbury’s assessment of their relationship.“It was a long time ago. We’ve talked since. Played against him a few times since. It’s exactly that: We’re in a good place,” he said."

Browns fans were excited for this matchup because Mayfield typically thrives when playing against people he holds grudges against. He plays with a different intensity in those games, and it typically results in big performances. He may not hold a grudge against Kingsbury anymore, but he may still bring the same level intensity into Arizona on Sunday.

Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. being tied to the Dallas Cowboys

Amid his growing frustration in the Browns offense and reportedly telling opponents to “come get” him, Odell Beckham Jr. is being connected to different teams. As Randy Gurzi notes, one of those teams is the Dallas Cowboys.

Nick Chubb ‘not really at all’ thinking about NFL rushing title – Andrew Gribble, ClevelandBrowns.com

"This mindset has been confirmed by pretty much everyone else inside the Browns locker room and coach Freddie Kitchens. Guard Joel Bitonio, who works out at the same time as Chubb almost every day and has blocked for him on all 253 of his carries this season, said Chubb “hasn’t said a word” about his individual stats pretty much ever."

Nick Chubb has emerged as arguably the best playmaker in Cleveland’s loaded offense, but he is also one of the most humble players on the team. Despite being the NFL’s league leading rusher, Chubb is only worried about the Browns winning each week, not his performance. He may be a quiet clear, but he is a silent leader for this Browns team.
