The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including Jimmy Haslam being upset with Kareem Hunt over latest incident.

Just when things seemed to have calmed down around Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt, Hunt entered himself into another off-field issue when he was pulled over for a traffic stop at the end of January and marijuana was found in his car. The incident also irritated Browns owner Jimmy Haslam.

Haslam and the Browns took a chance on Hunt last offseason and were hoping Hunt would reward the team by staying out of trouble. Although his most recent incidents have been mild considering his past, Hunt’s been in the news too many times for the Browns organization’s liking.

Entering the offseason as a restricted free agent, Hunt was needing to stay out of trouble to rebuild his value around the league. After his most recent issue, it would be fair to say some teams will turn away from Hunt this offseason.

‘Not acceptable.’ Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam rips Kareem Hunt for recent off-field incident – Matthew Florjancic, WKYC.com

"“We have and will continue to work closely with Kareem, but he knows our expectations are higher than what he showed a week or two ago,” Haslam said. “If Kareem can follow the expectations that we have laid out for him, (he will be back).”"

Even though Hunt’s recent issue adds to his list of off-field problems, it seems pretty clear that the organization wants him back in a Browns uniform in 2020. However, if Hunt finds himself in another off-field issue, it could result in the end of his time playing for his hometown team.

Andrew Berry wins the press conference, but can he win on the field?

The Cleveland Browns introduced Andrew Berry as their general manager on Wednesday and he had all of the right answers for the media. But Frank Teriaca wonders if Berry has what is needed to turn the Browns into winners on the field.

Browns hope league reinstates Myles Garrett for start of season – Charean Williams, Pro Football Talk

"Garrett will meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell soon, according to a recent report, and it is expected that Goodell will fully reinstate Garrett before the start of the season. The former No. 1 overall choice missed the final six games as punishment."

Myles Garrett was on pace to being in contention for the Defensive Player of the Year award before he was suspended for swinging a helmet at Mason Rudolph. The Browns defense was clearly limited without Garrett on the field, so having him available for all of 2020 would be big for the Browns.
