The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know, including a look at some free agent pass rushers that fit with the roster

The entire sports world is at a standstill right now as concerns about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) have forced some major changes to some of the biggest sports. So far, the Cleveland Browns and the NFL haven’t made any drastic changes.

This means free agency is still set to begin next week, but that could change according to Mike Florio Pro Football Talk. For now, we will keep acting as if this will start as normal since we believe that to be the case today.

And for the Browns, they have several holes to fill as they look to round out their roster. However, one position is easy to overlook — defensive end.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

Sure, they have Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon but there are whispers Vernon could be on the way out. Not only is this a factor but the depth was a problem last season down the stretch.

In today’s Dawg Tags, we see a story about which pass rushers make sense in The Land. That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

2020 Browns free agency: Which pass rushers could make sense in Cleveland? — Andrew Gribble, ClevelandBrowns.com

"“17. Matthew Judon, Ravens – He’s coming off his best season in Baltimore after starting all 16 games and finishing with a career-best 9.5 sacks.20. Bud Dupree, Steelers – Another player coming off a career year, Dupree will hit the market after amassing 11.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.”"

Gribble looks at many of the top talents with two names sticking out here. Not only could the Browns get better by signing either one of these players but they could also weaken an AFC North rival by snatching up one of their players.

Tony Grossi reinstated by WKNR 850 following suspension for Baker Mayfield comment — Ben Axelrod, WKYC.com

"“It’s great to be back. I’m excited to be back. I got a lot of support from those who matter. A few things I want to say: This obviously was a situation taken very seriously by our company and by me. For me, it’s been humiliating, it’s been quite traumatic, in fact. But it’s also been a learning experience for me.”"

Tony Grossi hopefully learned from his mistake. He clearly doesn’t like Baker Mayfield and has allowed it to cloud his judgment. The real question, however, is how the team will receive him after this incident. Mayfield is very well-liked in Cleveland and it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising to see some players have resentment toward Grossi.

3 Free agents to avoid this offseason

Our own Grant Puskar knows free agency is coming soon but if he had things his way, these three names would already be off the list.

Could Christian Kirksey re-sign with the Cleveland Browns?

It’s hard to say goodbye to our favorite players and linebacker Christian Kirksey was surely that for many Browns fans. However, Elliot Kennel ponders on the chances of the star player returning to the team that drafted him back in 2014.
