Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Round 6. Pick 187. AntonioGandy-Golden. WR. player. 53

The Browns select Antonio Gandy-Golden in the sixth round of this mock draft. Cleveland currently has a hole at their third receiver spot behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry since they have not resigned Reshard Higgins.

More from Browns Draft

As of now, the third spot would be a battle between Taywan Taylor and Damian Ratley. Both are young players who have not greatly developed yet, and the Browns can certainly use a more productive player at their third receiver position.

Gandy-Golden is a big receiver as he stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 223 pounds. He ran a fairly slow 40-yard dash at 4.6 but did 22 reps on the 225-pound bench press and had a 36 inch vertical. He is a big target that can win the 50-50 ball in the NFL and can provide another big red zone threat for Cleveland.

His film is full of one-handed catches and high-pointed jump balls. He has tremendous hands and ball skills. He has the ability to make game-changing catches in the NFL.

The Browns lack a big-bodied receiver that can win jump balls, as both of their star receivers, Beckham Jr. and Landry, are shorter than 6-foot. Surely tight ends Austin Hooper and David Njoku are big threats in the middle, but a sixth-round draft pick is a low risk to add perhaps a good jump ball receiver on the outside.

It makes sense to add depth at receiver in this draft and in the sixth round the Browns could possibly find a productive NFL player that can be a threat in the red zone.
