The Cleveland Browns were back at work on Wednesday and they had some good news as well since Myles Garrett ditched his wrist brace and played well without it.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski spoke on the situation and said Garrett did “a nice job” but added that no other injured players were going to be returning to the field.

Still, for a team that’s been as snake-bitten as the Browns have during these practices, it was nice to see a key figure back on the field in Garrett.

Myles Garrett did a nice job in practice after chucking wrist brace and he’s ’no worse for the wear,’ Kevin Stefanski says — Mary Kay Cabot, ClevelandBrowns.com

"“Browns coach Kevin Stefanski says Myles Garrett did a nice job in practice on Tuesday after discarding his wrist brace, adding that Garrett was ’no worse for the wear.’”"

Garrett missed much of the team’s training camp which isn’t ideal after he was suspended for the final six games in 2019. Still, his presence on Wednesday was encouraging but so was the fact that he performed well according to the head coach.

Browns kicker Austin Seibert works to put Dawg Pound struggles behind him — Dan Labbe, Cleveland.com

"“Seibert had a strange rookie season after the Browns and then-GM John Dorsey made him a fifth-round pick in 2019. He made 25 of 29 field goal attempts, but three of his four misses came between 40 and 49 yards. Three misses came in Browns wins and all came in games decided by eight or more points.”"

Overall, Seibert was solid as a rookie but there are definitely areas where he can improve. The good news is that he understands this and appears to be working toward that end goal.

Browns may have the most interesting kicking competition

Austin Seibert and Jamie Gillan might not have competition for their respective jobs in Cleveland but they do have a fierce battle going on as they fight for the best mullet. Matt McFartridge has the story on the most interesting battle in Berea.
