5 reasons we can finally believe in the Cleveland Browns
By Clay Goodwin
5. Kevin Stefanski
The first reason it’s time to believe in Cleveland is their head coach, Kevin Stefanski. One of the keys to winning in the NFL is having a good head coach. As mentioned previously, Cleveland has struggled significantly in the head coaching department in the recent past. That seemingly has changed with the arrival of Stefanski.
Stefanski has come to Cleveland and been a true professional since day one. He has preached an “all bite no bark” philosophy that the players have fully embraced. There has been no hype entering the season and there is a mentality of taking the season one game at a time. It has been a relief to finally see a team be so disciplined and fundamentally sound on the football field.
Cleveland’s rookie coach has shown that he sticks to his game plan, clock management, discipline, creative play calling, and has led a smart football team in his short time with the Browns. He has been incredibly impressive while dealing with a pandemic-filled off season that did not allow for a full camp or preseason games. How he has handled the situation in front of him in his first year as a head coach is admirable.
Stefanski says all the right things, has his players ready to play, and leads by example. Hopefully the Browns have Stefanski leading the team for quite some time.
